The National Newspaper Association (NNA) on Feb. 20, 2026 expressed strong approval of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling that the federal government exceeded its authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) by imposing sweeping tariffs without clear Congressional authorization.

A fast-tracked bill that would provide millions in taxpayer support for University of Wisconsin Athletics and cement the university’s name, image and likeness policies into state law passed the Assembly on Thursday, Feb. 19.

Now in its third year, the Center for Integrity in News Reporting Awards will present six $25,000 cash prizes, including a new category for Investigative Reporting, alongside awards for Print, Broadcast, Cable Network, Digital Reporting, and reporting by members of the White House Correspondents’ Association.
