Adams MultiMedia has announced a leadership change at The Janesville Gazette.
A piece in the April 10, 2026 issue of The Gazette announced the change. According to the story:
Managing Editor Karyn Saemann has moved along from the paper.
Southern Wisconsin Regional Editor Tim Sullivan and Beloit Daily News Editor Clint Wolf will share duties of the daily production of the newspaper on an interim basis.
“We would like to thank Karyn for her years of service to The Gazette and other titles in our region,” wrote Pamela Henson, AMM Southern Wisconsin Regional President, in the article announcing the changes.
The newsroom will be led by City Editor Neil Johnson, who previously worked at the Gazette from 2010-23, and recently rejoined the staff in a managerial role. He was also in local news during the time between his tenures at the Gazette, working with Big Radio at WCLO.
Ryan Spoehr and Kylie Balk-Yaatenen continue to serve as the primary reporters in the newsroom.
The Gazette recently celebrated its 180th anniversary with a celebration of 19 notable residents over the decades. The Bliss family owned the paper for 136 of those years, before Adams MultiMedia — then known as Adams Publishing Group — bought the paper in 2019.
