The WNAF Collegiate Better Newspaper Contest recognizes excellence in student journalism across the state. It is open to all active campus newspapers covering Wisconsin public and private college and university campuses.
The submission period for the Collegiate Better Newspaper Contest will open on Monday, November 2, 2026. All entries must have been published between Jan. 1, 2026 and Nov. 30, 2026. This year’s contest is being judged by members of the North Carolina Press Association.
Entries must be uploaded by 10:59pm, Monday, December 7, 2026.
Awards will be presented in Madison, during the Branen Family Student Luncheon at WNA’s Annual Convention on Friday, March 12, 2027.
The Rules & Categories will be available in October.
