Homelessness ads, editorial available to WNA members

Dear WNA Member,

What does homelessness mean to you or to your readers?

For many, it means not only going without a place to call home. It also means going without the daily necessities of life, like a toothbrush, toothpaste or a bar of soap.

In advance of World Homeless Day on Oct. 10, Multi Media Channels is challenging Wisconsin newspapers to once again join us in the fight to eradicate homelessness in our state by urging readers to contribute to organizations that support the homeless community in our state.

As part of the campaign, we’re making ads available for republication — with details for readers on how to get involved — and the Wisconsin State Journal has provided an editorial about the importance of eradicating homelessness.

The 2021 Multi Media Channels campaign, which builds on efforts by our Wisconsin’s newspapers in 2019 and 2020, asks readers to donate toward the purchase of an “essentials backpack” or the cost of housing a homeless person.

All funds raised through the Wisconsin Newspapers Supporting Homelessness campaign will go to homeless support agencies located in the region where the donation originated.

Thank you for your support in the fight to eradicate homelessness in Wisconsin.

Sincerely,

Patrick Wood
