As other states go dry, Wisconsin’s water use plummets

Wisconsin seemingly swims in an abundance of fresh water. Unlike some western states that struggle with empty reservoirs and limits on growth imposed by water shortages, our municipal water supplies facing little threat, even during summer droughts.

Borowski, Lecker join WNA Board of Directors

Greg Borowski, executive editor of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and Kelly Lecker, executive editor of the Wisconsin State Journal, have been named to the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Board of Directors. The board approved the appointments during their meeting on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Chloe Hilles leaves La Crosse to join Chicago Tribune

Chloe Hilles, who has worked as a local government reporter for the last year at the La Crosse Tribune, has left the role to join the Chicago Tribune.

A graduate of Northwestern University with degrees in journalism and political science, Hilles joined the La Crosse newspaper in October 2022. While attending Northwestern, she reported for the Medill Investigative Lab, interned at Injustice Watch and was a content writer for Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine.
