Marlys Taege Moberg (nee Schmidt), a former Wisconsin newspaper journalist and author, died Wednesday, March 18, in Wauwatosa. She was 91.

James Conley, Jr., a longtime journalist and founder of Conley Publishing Group, died Friday, March 20, in Aiken, S.C. He was 76.

Roberta Fischer, a retired journalist who earned her degree in 1948 from UW-Madison, died Feb. 28, in Madison. She was 94.

Howard Fibich, who spent his entire 37-year journalism career with The Milwaukee Journal, died Feb. 26 in Brookfield. He was 88.

Hans Hamm, who was a longtime co-owner, business manager and advertising director of The Waukesha Freeman, died Thursday, Feb. 20, in Waukesha. He was 95.

Donald. J. “Don” Friday, who was sports editor of the Stevens Point Journal for 40 years, died Saturday, Feb. 22, at Point Manor nursing home in Stevens Point. He was 83.

Daniel M. Maglior, who served as publisher for the Waushara Argus and spent more than 20 years in the newspaper industry, died unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 30, at his home in Waupaca. He was 49.

Robert Enstad, a longtime Chicago Tribune reporter and editor who grew up in River Falls, died Wednesday, Jan. 29. He was 81.

Karl Ernest Meyer, a Madison, Wis. native and longtime journalist for The Washington Post and The New York Times died Sunday, Dec. 22, at a New York City hospital. He was 91.

Anthony “Tony” Leon, an award-winning journalist who spent his entire career at The Reporter in Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, in Fond du Lac. He was 82.
