Public service announcements featuring college students from La Crosse higher education institutions currently appear on the website of LeaderEthics, a non-partisan non-profit organization dedicated to promoting integrity in the American Democracy through ethical leadership practices among elected officials.
Wisconsin Newspaper Hall of Famer Rusty Cunningham, also a member of the WNA Foundation board of directors, is past president for the LaCrosse-based organization. LeaderEthics also includes former WNA Foundation board member and former Wisconsin State Journal publisher John Smalley as board president.
WKBT Channel 8 in LaCrosse produced two video clips for LeaderEthics featuring the students and indicated the PSAs will be running periodically through the midterm election.
“They have also given us permission to distribute them to other media,” Lee Rasch, executive director of LeaderEthics. “We are in the process of reaching out to other media outlets.”
The video clips are also being shown on the LeaderEthics social media sites.

The group hosted “A Call for Civil Discourse” on March 31 in the Lunda Center at Western Technical College in LaCrosse.
