The Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Local Media at UNC-Chapel Hill is asking Wisconsin NewsMedia Association members to take a short survey about their use of AI.
The center is conducting research on how business professionals in local media are adopting and using AI across their work — especially hoping to hear from publishers, advertising and revenue professionals, development and fundraising staff, audience and product leaders, operations teams, and others involved in the sustainability of local news organizations.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous and will be reported only in aggregate. Participants also have the option to enter for a chance to win a $25 gift card.

“This research will help us better understand how AI is showing up in local media business practices, where organizations see opportunities or concerns, and what kinds of support, guidance, or resources would be most useful to the field,” said Sarah Vassello, Project Manager for the Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Local Media at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, in making the request of WNA members.
