Pulse survey asks readers about coronavirus impact

Updated (April 4, 2020) –

A new Pulse Research survey on the COVID-19 impact on consumers has exceeded its necessary survey sample size. The real-time results can be viewed here.

State-specific results are not yet available.

Newspapers can learn how the global pandemic is affecting their readers and communities by participating in a new Pulse Research survey on coronavirus impact. The results of the survey are expected to be available within the next few weeks.

Pulse launched the survey Tuesday in light of the uncertainty created by the ongoing public health crisis and the major impact that uncertainty is having on local businesses. With COVID-19 disrupting much of our everyday lives, the survey asks readers what information is most important to them and what their household purchasing plans look like over the next 90 days.

Survey respondents also will be asked what is needed from local newspapers and how they can better help their communities.

The results of the coronavirus survey will offer valuable insight for sales teams to work with local businesses over the next few months. All newspapers that participate in the survey will receive a copy of the results, as well as guides and training on how best to use the information.

Sample ads for the survey and other promotional details are available here.
