RACINE – Recon, a New Berlin furniture company with past ties to Racine, has purchased The Journal Times building, the newspaper announced Thursday.
The main building, at 212 Fourth St., will be remodeled to create a first-floor furniture showroom and the company’s corporate offices. The other part of the property, at 320 Wisconsin Ave., will immediately be turned into warehouse space for Recon.

The Journal Times will continue to operate for the near future out of its current location in the building.
