Donna Jilk has joined the Amery Free Press as a Media Advisor. She will work alongside Laura Alvarez, who has been filling in since the summer. After spending time in south Minnesota and the Twin Cities, Jilk moved to Clear Lake to settle down with her family.
Jilk has held many positions throughout her career, describing herself as “Jack of all Janes.” Some of her past positions include service work, carpentry, and even auto mechanics. This is Jilk’s first time in a media role.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time hunting and fishing with her family, with the long term goal of owning a ranch. The family has invested in a small horde of chickens
