SHAWANO – Warren Bluhm has been named interim editor-in-chief for NEW Media, the company has announced.
He fills the role vacated by Carol Ryczek, who had held the position since September 2018. Prior to her role as editor-in-chief, Ryczek worked in communications and volunteer services for ThedaCare and also spent time as a reporter and photo editor for the Shawano Leader.

Bluhm joined the company in March 2017, serving as editor of the Oconto County Times Herald. His past experience includes five years as managing editor of the Green Bay News-Chronicle from July 1997 to July 2002, three years as opinion editor of the Green Bay Press-Gazette from April 2007 to April 2010, and two stints as editor of the Door County Advocate in Sturgeon Bay, from 2002 to 2007 and 2010 to 2016.
NEW Media publishes three weekly newspapers in northeastern Wisconsin, the Shawano Leader, Oconto County Times Herald and the Wittenberg Enterprise & Birnamwood News.
