PENSACOLA, Fla. — WNA executive director Beth Bennett has been elected to the Board of Directors for the National Newspaper Association.
Bennett will serve as one of five directors on the NNA board, along with Martha Diaz-Aszkenazy of the San Fernando (Calif.) Valley Sun; Louie Mullen of Black Bird LLC in Buffalo, Wyo.; William (Bill) Jacobs of Jacobs Properties in Brookhaven, Miss.; and Bradley Thompson II of the Detroit Legal News. Their terms run through October 2022.

A new slate of officers also was approved during the meeting. Brett Wesner of Wesner Publications in Cordell, Okla., was elected board chair; John Galer of the Hillsboro (Ill.) Journal-News will serve as vice chair; and Jeff Mayo of Cookson Hills Publishers in Sallisaw, Okla., was named treasurer.
