As advertising revenue has declined due to the coronavirus outbreak Wisconsin newspapers have prioritized the wellbeing of the community by digging deep personally and financially to keep the public informed during this unpredictable time.
In order to support this valuable public service, the WNA is encouraging members to solicit publication of COVID-19 advertising by local government.

As public bodies across the state work to get information in the hands of the public, newspapers can be a valuable platform in maximizing the reach and effectiveness of that information — and government support will help ensure newspapers’ ability to continue providing vital public service journalism.
In order to assist members with this effort, the WNA is providing a template letter that can be used for this purpose.
