Reuben J. Heim, publisher of the Woodville Leader from 1992 to 1998, died Oct. 3, 2013, at age 59.
Heim always lived life to its fullest, with a great sense of adventure. Aside from being a newspaper publisher, he was an over-the-road truck driver, computer programmer/system engineer, musician, pumpkin farmer and tractor enthusiast. He was also an EMT for Woodville Area Ambulance Service and even earned his private pilot’s license while living in Woodville.
Heim didn’t waste a moment. The love and joy he lived every day, just grateful to be alive, was amazing. He loved his family and friends without condition and with all his heart.
