Robert K. Coe

Robert Coe was born May 19, 1880, in Whitewater and went on to publish his hometown newspaper for 50 years. Coe took over the Whitewater Register from his father in 1902, the year he graduated from the University of Wisconsin. His weekly columns and stories were community favorites. Coe died July 8, 1952 in Whitewater.
