Lucile M. Brandt and her husband, Louis, bought the Chilton Times-Journal in the early 1970s and remained part of the team that ran the paper until 1979.
The Calumet County Shopper also was a major part of the business, along with the printing of the Badgers Sportsman Magazine and other print jobs.
The Brandts were credited for increasing the Times-Journal circulation, making it the most widely read weekly newspaper in the county.
