Former Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter publisher Louie A. Lange Sr., 92, died Sept. 29, 2007, in Fond du Lac.
Lange attended the University of Notre Dame and served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during World War II. He succeeded his father as president of the Reporter Printing Co. and was publisher of the Commonwealth Reporter for many years until his retirement in 1972. He was also president of KFIZ Broadcasting Co.
In addition to serving on countless committees and advisory boards on behalf of the Fond du Lac community, Lange also served as president of the Wisconsin Daily Newspaper League (later WNA).
