James F. Dorrance Jr., publisher and owner of The Chronotype in Rice Lake, died April 13, 2014, at age 85.
Dorrance, an avid Badgers and Packers fan, retired in 1994.
Jim was an active member of the community. He was founding member of the Rice Lake Garden Club and National Lumbering Hall of Fame. Jim was very active in the Rice Lake Hockey Association and the building of the Barron County Hockey Arena. He was an active member of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association. Jim was a member of the Rice Lake Rotary Club and distinguished as a Paul Harris Fellow.
