Howard “Mac” McGregor owned and operated The Park Falls Herald from 1949 until his retirement in the mid-1980s. McGregor, who also owned a printing company, died in August 1998 at age 78.
He was born in Park Falls and was a lifetime resident. After high school, he entered the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in World War II.
