O-W Enterprise purchased by thepaperboy.news group

Last month, John McLoone's thepaperboy.news group of newspapers purchased the O-W Enterprise from NJL Media LLC and publisher Nathan J. LePage, on the heels of just having purchased The Sentinel & Rural News, which serves the same area, from Multi Media Channels in November.

LePage will remain with the newly formed Enterprise-Sentinel through the transition period and plans to step down this summer, after 17 years with the paper.

During the event, the press club also will honor Anna Wolfe, an award-winning investigative reporter for Mississippi Today, as its 2023 Sacred Cat Award honoree, as well as winners of the 2022 Excellence in Wisconsin Journalism competition

George Stanley to join Multi Media Channels

In March, George Stanley will join Multi Media Channels (MMC), the publishing company of The (Green Bay) Press Times, as the company’s Local News Initiatives Adviser.

In his role, Stanley will work with the Pass it Forward internship program, as well as other company initiatives to nurture a healthy community journalism environment in the state. Stanley stepped down as editor of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in January.

Kiran Saini joins Wisconsin Watch as audience director

Kiran Saini, who previously worked as the audience development manager for the Detroit Free Press, has joined Wisconsin Watch as the newsroom's first audience director.

In her new role, funded by the American Journalism Project, Saini will work across Wisconsin Watch's website, social media, newsletters and other news products to connect with an expanded and more diverse audience.

Mark Lewis named regional president for APG

Longtime media executive Mark Lewis has been named regional president for Adams Publishing Group-Southern Wisconsin. The news group includes The (Janesville) Gazette, Beloit Daily News, (Fort Atkinson) Daily Jefferson County Union, Watertown Daily Times, Antigo Daily Journal, (Marinette) EagleHerald and Hometown News Group.

Lewis, who previously served as publisher of The (Racine) Journal Times and has 30 years of experience in the industry, succeeds Orestes Baez, who in January was named CEO of TravelHost.
