Gregg Walker elected president of Wisconsin Newspaper Association

Gregg Walker, publisher of The Lakeland Times and The Northwoods River News, was elected president of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association during its annual meeting, held virtually via Zoom on Thursday.

Walker succeeds Paul Seeling, publisher of the (Spring Valley) Sun-Argus, the Woodville Leader and MyGatewayNews.com.

2020 WNA Convention, Trees Retreat canceled

The WNA Foundation has decided to cancel the 2020 WNA Convention & Trade Show, the 2020 Trees Retreat and this year’s summer internship program.

The determination to cancel the convention rather than postpone it, as previously announced, was a difficult decision, but was made in the interest of public health and the best interests of our members.

In light of the decision, the WNA will announce Better Newspaper Contest winners on May 15.
