In advance of World Homeless Day on October 10, Multi Media Channels is once again encouraging Wisconsin newspapers to join us in the fight to eradicate homelessness in our state.

As part of the campaign, ads detailing how readers can get involved and 11 story packages are being provided to members for republication. The 2022 campaign builds on efforts by Wisconsin newspapers in 2021, 2020 and 2019.

Paul and Kim Fanning, owners of the Cashton Record for nearly 24 years, have announced the sale of the newspaper to Evans Print & Media Group. The Sparta-based news group is owned and operated by Greg and Sue Evans, who also own the Monroe County Herald and the Hillsboro Sentry-Enterprise.

The new owners will continue to serve local businesses from the existing office, with no change to current staffing, according to the announcement.
