Elizabeth “Libbie” (Faulkner) Nolan, former editor of The (Waukesha) Freeman, died Sunday in the town of Vernon, Wis. She was 102.

Lois Born, a longtime employee of The (Manitowoc) Herald Times-Reporter died Oct. 8 at Willowdale Health Services in New Holstein. She was 91.

Pat Schneider, a longtime reporter for The Cap Times in Madison, died Sunday, Oct. 29, at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, following a long battle with cancer. She was 65.

Gerald “Jerry” Dryer, who had a long career working in and writing about the dairy industry, died Sept. 19, after a battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Marilyn J. (Long) Christopherson, who served as owner and editor of two newspapers in Bayfield County, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Duluth, Minn.

Father Anthony “Tony” Schumacher, who worked as a journalist for many years before joining the priesthood, died Monday, Sept. 9, in Fitchburg.

Judith A. (Padget) Hyde-Hintzman, who spent more than 20 years as editor of The Monroe Evening Times, died Saturday, Aug. 31, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was 77.

Alan Eisenberg, a colorful and controversial Milwaukee figure who served as editor of a Latino newspaper, died Friday, Aug. 16. He was 77.
