This year's theme is "newspapers are relevant," with supporting themes of "newspapers are local, are trusted, support you and need your support."

The deadline to register for the 2021 WNA Better Newspaper Contest Awards Banquet, which will be held as an in-person standalone event on June 24 at The Concourse in Madison, is June 15. A reception will start at 5 p.m., with the awards ceremony to follow at 6 p.m.
The banquet will honor both student and professional winners of our Better Newspaper Contests, and is the first time the event will be held in-person since 2019. Rooms are available at a discounted rate of $149 through the WNA' s room block. The deadline to book at the reduced rate has been extended to June 14.
