Advocating on behalf of newspapers

The WNA advocates on behalf of the newspaper industry, promotes government transparency and defends the constitutional rights of a free and independent press. The WNA’s advocacy efforts include working with lawmakers to protect those rights and enhancing the public’s understanding of the role newspapers play in our society.

We constantly monitor activity at the Capitol, communicate with legislators and provide resources to help members to advocate for the betterment of the industry.
