For someone seeking their professional love-match, navigating the job market can be about as easy as opening a new SD card package (which is, not at all easy and worthy of inappropriate language). This session is designed to address the professional packaging conundrum when you’re on the job search. We’ll explore the value of creating an accessible, engaging e-portfolio that sets you apart from the competition but leaves the viewer wanting that all-important face-to-face meeting.

Speaker:  Andrea Frantz, Ph.D. is a professor of digital media at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. She earned her B.A. from Simpson College, and both her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Iowa State University, so despite her aversion to sweet corn-on-the-cob, Iowa is apparently written into her genetic code. Her 39-year career in higher education has allowed her to teach a wide variety of journalism-related courses, meet and work with some amazing people, and travel to corners of the world she’d only ever read about in the newspaper as a kid. She starts every day with two requirements: black coffee and a physical newspaper.
