Brian Roebke celebrated 35 years at the Heart of the Valley Times-Villager in Kaukauna with a column that appeared in the June 10, 2026 issue of the publication.

According to the column, Roebke was hired in 1991 by editor Jim Lang.

“To believe that I’ve worked for the same newspaper, but with different owners . . . is mind-boggling,” Roebke wrote. “To be the editor, that’s something I only would have dreamed of back then.”

During his 35 years, Roebke has worked in six different office locations and moved offices five times.

“When I started, everything was done on paper,” Roebke wrote. “The process to get from information from the game to the meeting the press was so much slower and complicated.”

Roebke wrote that he is not sure how long he will continue at the newspaper.
