Vilas County News-Review set to move April 28-29

After nearly 20 years in its West Mill Street location, the Vilas County News-Review is relocating to a new building later this month.

A news item in the April 22, 2026 issue of the News-Review covered the move. According to the story:

The office will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, April 28-29, while staff makes the move. It will reopen Thursday, April 30, at the new building located at 701 N. Railroad St., Units 1 & 2.

“Don’t worry, we aren’t going far,” said editor Michelle Drew. “Our new location is only about two blocks from where we are currently located, so you’ll still be able to find us — maybe even more easily than before.”

Due to the closure, readers who regularly pick up their copy of the paper at the 425 W. Mill St. office will have to get it next week from one of the grocery stores or gas stations in town.

“Please bear with us since we’re going to be a bit disorganized for a little while,” said office manager Mary Jo Adamovich. “It’s going to take some time for us to get everything put back together.”

The building might be changing, but the quality of the publication is not.

Staff is still committed to putting out one of the best newspapers in the state throughout the transition.

“I think the new building is really going to boost our visibility within the community,” said General Manager Mike Hollihan. “In the coming weeks we will be putting up some new signage to alert the public that we’re here. But overall, I think it’s going to be great.”

While the building is closed, you can still contact sales, front office or editorial staff using the email information provided on the publication’s website at vcnewsreview.com/contact.
