In its April 9, 2025 issue, The Hub City Times in Marshfield introduced veteran journalist Sirena Mankins as its new editor.
Mankins began her journalism career as a copy editor at the Oshkosh Northwestern in 1999, after attending the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha. She spent almost a decade in Central Wisconsin at the Wausau Daily Herald, before an economic downturn forced industry contraction.
Mankins was able to live in several other states – Indiana, followed by Texas and finally Florida – before moving back to Wisconsin to be closer to family. A mother of two daughters, Mankins also has 12 grandchildren, all of whom live in the area. She may be reached via email at smankins@mmclocal.com.
