Sentinel Publications’ McMillan is new America’s Newspapers board vice president

Matt McMillan, CEO of Sentinel Publications, is America’s Newspapers new board vice president, according to a piece in the Amery Free Press. He is also CEO of Press Publications in White Bear Lake, Minn.

Leonard Woosley, president of Southern Newspapers and president and publisher of The Daily News in Galveston, Texas, is America’s Newspapers new board president. Patrick Dorsey, publisher Sante Fe New Mexican, is the new board treasurer.

Five industry executives were re-elected to serve additional three-year terms on the board of directors:

  • Michael Fishman, president, Lakeway Publishers, Inc., and publisher, Citizen Tribune, Morristown, Tennessee;
  • Brian Jarvis, president, WV News, Clarksburg, West Virginia;
  • Ted McGrew, vice president, sales, newspaper segment, Kodak;
  • Nick Monico, COO, Adams Publishing Group; and
  • Susan Patterson Plank, vice president of public notice and strategic transformation, USA TODAY Network.

Five industry executives were elected to initial terms on the board:

  • Otis Brumby, president and publisher, Marietta (Georgia) Daily Journal;
  • Kevin Craig, CEO, PAGE Cooperative;
  • John DeAugustine, president and publisher, Schenectady (New York) Daily Gazette;
  • Bala Sundaramoorthy, president and chief operating officer, Tampa Bay Times; and
  • David Woronoff, publisher, The Pilot, Southern Pines, North Carolina.

The election of officers and directors was held Oct. 22, 2024 during the Senior Leadership Conference in Charleston, South Carolina.
