The Winneconne News has been acquired by Oshkosh Herald LLC, effective with the Oct. 9, 2024 issue.
Becky LaDue continues in her role as editor that she has held since 2008 at the newspaper along with her staff at 908 E. Main St. in Winneconne.
The Oshkosh Herald also acquired Rogers Printing at that location.
The Winneconne News has been printing its weekly community publication for 153 years and was owned and operated by the Rogers family since 1953.
The Winneconne News is the third newspaper under the Oshkosh Herald LLC umbrella with the Oshkosh Herald founded in 2018, and the Neenah News founded in 2022.
Cumulatively the group reaches more than 55,000 homes and businesses in Winnebago County delivering local news and information and providing a cost-effective advertising vehicle for local businesses.
