After writing dozens of thoughtful, inspirational columns for the La Crosse Tribune, Rick Kyte has compiled his second collection into a new book: “Intervals of Hesitation: Essays on the Ethical Life 2013-2017.”
This is Kyte’s fourth book. He also has written about general ethics and business ethics.
“Rick takes the time to write columns that focus on character and culture, nature and leadership,” former Tribune publisher Rusty Cunningham wrote in a book review last month. “He is a master at combining personal tales and scholarly research while pushing readers to go beyond knee-jerk reaction to find common ground and common decency.”
Kyte is the director of the D. B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership and an endowed professor of ethics at Viterbo University in La Crosse. He also has served as a community member of the La Crosse Tribune editorial board for many years.
