Newsmaker Luncheon: Marquette Law School pollster Charles Franklin

Charles Franklin, Professor of Law and Public Policy and director of the Marquette Law School Poll, will be the featured guest at a Newsmaker Luncheon set for noon on Tuesday, November 15, hosted by the Milwaukee Press Club and WisPolitics.com.

Franklin will present an analysis of the results of the November 8 mid-term election, focusing on Wisconsin’s races for governor between incumbent Gov. Tony Evers [D] and challenger Tim Michels [R]; and for U.S. Senate between incumbent Sen. Ron Johnson [R] and challenger Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes [D]. Franklin has been director of the law school poll since its inception in 2012. Since then, the poll has been recognized as the definitive source for information about public opinion in Wisconsin.

Franklin will take questions from a panel of journalists and from the audience at the luncheon, to be moderated by Milwaukee Press Club President Maryann Lazarski, editorial producer for Milwaukee PBS.

The press club’s Newsmaker Luncheons are held to inform the public about the people and issues that affect individuals and communities in Milwaukee and Wisconsin. The cost to attend is $25 for MPC members, $30 for non-members and $20 for students. Lunch is included. Seating is limited.
