Marion Wright, who owned The Marquette County Tribune in Montello with her husband, passed away Jan. 8, 2007. She was 82.
Marion was born in Stoughton and was married to J.P. Miller in 1943. The couple lived in Hickory, North Carolina, until his death in 1953. She married Robert Wright in 1959, and they owned and operated The Marquette County Tribune until he retired in 1980.
Marion’s hobbies included reading, knitting, gardening, golf and competitive bowling. She was a member of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association and a past member of the Montello Women’s Club, Rotary Ann’s of Montello, and the Montello Chamber of Commerce.
