M.A. Crownhart, former owner of the Grantsburg Journal and Times, worked in the Wisconsin newspaper industry for more than half a century.
Crownhart, a New Auburn native, spent time at newspapers in Bloomer, Balsam Lake, Centuria, Frederic and Dooley, Mont., before owning his own publication. In 1949, he bought the Grantsburg Journal and Times.
Crownhart died Aug. 30, 1963. He was 70.
