Henry William Schroeder, the founder of Schroeder Publications, passed away peacefully April 12, 2013, in Surprise, Ariz.
Schroeder was born in Cleveland and raised in the Sheboygan area. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture and master’s in ag journalism from UW-Madison.
Schroeder was publisher of several weekly newspapers, including the Oregon Observer, Verona Press, Fitchburg Star, Evansville Leader, Monona Community Herald and McFarland Community Life. He served as president of the WNA board of directors in 1984.
