Results available for poll on increased COVID-19 restrictions

Readers visiting WNA member websites from Oct. 7 to 18 were asked whether they supported Gov. Tony Evers’ actions to extend the statewide mask mandate and increase restriction on indoor gatherings. Out of 357 respondents, 67% said they supported the actions. Twenty-two percent of respondents said they did not support Evers’ actions, while 11 percent said they supported either the extended mask mandate or increased indoor restrictions, but not both.

  • Yes, they are necessary to curb the spread of COVID-19: 67% (239)
  • No, they are not necessary despite the increase in cases: 22% (80)
  • I support the extended mask mandate, but not the indoor restrictions: 10% (35)
  • I support the indoor restrictions, but not the extended mask mandate: 1% (3)
