GREEN BAY, June 1, 2020 (Multi Media Channels) — Multi Media Channels has purchased the Seymour-based Advertiser Community News & Times-Press.

The Times-Press has a 134-year history in the Seymour area. The Advertiser Community News began publication in 2009, when the Times-Press became known as the Seymour Area Times-Press. The two publications were combined in 2010, as the Advertiser Community News & Times-Press.
The publication recently reverted from the Times-Press — a paid subscription newspaper — back to the Advertiser Community News-Times Press — a free community newspaper.
The publication will continue printing under MMC as the Seymour Advertiser.

“It’s important for the community to have its own newspaper since it enriches the lives of those residing here,” said MMC CEO Patrick Wood. “We will do everything we can within our resources to continue the local tradition that Ken Hodgden has stewarded for so many decades. We will appreciate the continued support of readers and advertisers as we forge ahead during this most difficult of times.”
The Advertiser serves the communities of Seymour, Black Creek, Shiocton, Nichols, and other northern Outagamie County communities.
MMC began its work in community newspaper publishing in 1953 in Denmark, Wis. Under the leadership of founder Frank Wood, the business expanded into other markets.
Today, the company remains in the Wood family, working with nearly 30 print publications — including 22 weeklies — and 17 digital channels that serve the central, northern, and eastern portions of the state.
