WASHINGTON – James Friedman of Godfrey & Kahn, who serves as the voice of the WNA legal hotline and is a member of the WNA Foundation Board, will be among the attorneys providing legal assistance to journalists from across the country during the Democratic National Convention.
Friedman and Godfrey & Kahn colleague Brian C. Spahn are slated to staff the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press’ legal hotline from July 13-16, as approximately 20,000 journalists cover the DNC from Milwaukee. Their pro bono legal help is part of an array of resources provided to journalists by the RCFP and the National Press Photographers Association.
