APPLETON – Samantha West, a Minnesota native, has been named the new statewide K-12 education and family reporter for USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin.
West previously covered education for the (Eau Claire) Leader-Telegram. She also reported part-time for the Leader-Telegram while in college.
While at UW-Eau Claire, West served as editor-in-chief of The Spectator student newspaper. In 2018, she was named the school’s Ann Devroy Fellow, earning her a one-month internship at The Washington Post and a summer internship with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
