Dale Dolson, an entrepreneur who owned and operated a newspaper route among several Lodi businesses, died Wednesday, Nov. 14 at age 75.
Born on Sept. 12, 1943, Dolson served in the U.S. Navy before returning home to spend his life in Lodi. He married Joyce Ellen Alt on Aug. 6, 1966, and together they had two sons, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Dolson ran several small businesses in Lodi, including a newspaper route, DJ’s Pool Hall, Fisk’s Tavern, Dale & Joyce’s, Mast Transit Busses, Lodi Shell and Dale’s Place. He also volunteered in the Lodi Fire Department and Lodi EMS and was a proud Teamster for more than three decades.
