Calling all supper club fans! Today is the day to celebrate this beloved Wisconsin tradition, and there’s no better place to do it than the Supper Club Capital of the Midwest—Calumet County. This county is ready to welcome you in, and we’re featuring six spectacular spots. Read on and discover your next favorite supper club!
Altona Supper Club
Let’s start at the one-and-only Altona Supper Club! Nestled in New Holstein, Wisconsin, this fan favorite is dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience every time.
From tried-and-true classics like the French Dip and Wisconsin Cheese Steak to seafood favorites like Lake Perch, Altona is just as delicious as it is affordable. Since National Supper Club Day falls on a Monday, you can time your visit perfectly for the weekday buffet, served Monday through Thursday and Sundays.
And if lunch is more your style, they also offer a lunch buffet Monday through Friday.
Roepke’s Village Inn
Up next, we’re stopping by Roepke’s Village Inn, a classic Wisconsin supper club in Chilton with a delicious Old World twist. Since the Roepke family took over in 1968, they’ve kept the tradition going with hand-cut steaks, a classic Friday night fish fry, and house favorites like Broasted Frog Legs.
What really sets Roepke’s apart is its authentic German menu, created as a tribute to the area’s heritage, with noteworthy dishes like Wiener Schnitzel a la Holstein and Braised Pork Shank.
Schwarz’s Supper Club
Another family-run favorite is Schwarz’s Supper Club in Downtown St. Anna. Family-owned and operated for more than 67 years, this supper club is known for its steaks, seafood, and undeniably good time!
Guests absolutely rave about the quick service, delicious cocktails, and exceptional entrées, including Salmon, Sea Bass, Sirloin Tips, and so much more.
Gobbler’s Knob Supper Club
Next up is Gobbler’s Knob Supper Club in Downtown Stockbridge. Known for its seafood, grilled steaks, and broasted chicken, this family-owned favorite offers delicious dishes like the Seafood Platter, Tenderloin Tips, and Broasted Chicken. Because it’s a popular spot, be sure to make reservations or come early to snag a table!
The Granary Supper Club
Onto The Granary Supper Club, a family-owned, made-from-scratch favorite in Sherwood with a tradition that stretches back more than 60 years! What started as a general store later became a saloon with a barber shop, before transforming in the mid-1900s into the supper club it is today.
Now expanded to seat more than 150 guests, The Granary serves up classic Wisconsin hospitality alongside a menu full of delightful dishes.
Start with a classic Wisconsin Old Fashioned at the bar, then dig into favorites like the 20 oz. Ribeye, Canadian Lake Perch, Stuffed Shrimp, and Roast Duck.
The Red Ox Seafood and Steakhouse
Known as one of Appleton’s best, Red Ox Seafood and Steakhouse is another must-stop supper club in Calumet County. Serving lunch and dinner, Red Ox is a great place to enjoy specialty-crafted Old Fashioneds, craft beer, and a fantastic wine selection. Best of all, every meal is made from scratch and cooked to order, so you know you’re getting something fresh!
Start with Cajun Catfish Sticks, then decide between highlights like Tenderloin and Mushroom Stroganoff, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Door County Cherry Glazed Baked Haddock, and many more.
