University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire journalism graduate Elyse Braun is the new editorial assistant at Berlin Journal Newspapers.
At UWEC, Braun balanced her time between The Spectator student newspaper and Blugold Radio, where she co-hosted a podcast entitled “Girl’s Guide to College.”
Braun classified her position as “a floater throughout the office, jumping in where I’m needed.”
“Studying journalism has taught me more than how to ask questions and get answers,” the Beaver Dam native wrote in her Aug. 6, 2026 introductory column in the Omro Herald. She wrote that she is excited to pursue truth in Green Lake County.
