The Banner Journal and The Shopper are making the transition to operate remotely, according to a July 29 item in the Clark County Press.
“The Banner Journal and Shopper are owned by Finger Publishing Inc. The corporation also owns 14 other community newspapers around the state of Wisconsin and Iowa. Finger Publishing and the previous owner, News Publishing Company Inc., have been converting all the publishing operations to remote operations at all the papers over the last several years. The Banner Journal and The Shopper are the last papers to be converted,” explained Tom Finger, publisher and president of Finger Publishing Inc. and a WNA Board of Directors member, in a letter to readers.
Using available technology will allow Finger Publishing to continue to provide community journalism, added Finger, who also thanked the community for years of support.
Editors and sales representatives remain available by phone and email.
