The Iron County Miner recently welcomed Brianne Cook as a reporter. Formerly with the Ironwood Globe, Cook will be the primary reporter for local government stories. She will also be photographing community events.
A news item in the July 10, 2026 issue of The Iron County Miner introduced Cook to readers.
Cook has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, grows a herb garden and types 80 words per minute.
Born in San Diego, Cook did not have much experience with snow before moving to Bessemer in October 2020. That has not deterred her from enjoying the area, though. “The winters are cold, but the people are warm enough to make up for it,” she explained about the area.
