Tri-County News columnist Ruth Wasmer is taking a leave of absence from writing her column “Ruth’s Reflections,” according to editor Mark Sherry.
A small news item explaining Wasmer’s leave appeared in the July 9, 2026 issue of the Tri-County News.
Wasmer’s column has appeared every other week in the Tri-County News for many years, according to editor Mark Sherry, who said he hopes Wasmer returns to writing her column as soon as possible.
“We get many good comments from readers about the column,” Sherry wrote, “and I’m sure Ruth does as well.”
