Wisconsin Newspaper Hall of Fame inductee Carlton DeWitt is latest Dane’s Donors honoree

“Dane’s Donors” is named for the unofficial WNA mascot and WNA office Top Dog, Dane Blumer (owned by WNA Office Administrator Daryl Blumer) and intended to recognize donors to the Wisconsin Newspaper Association and the Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation.

The most recent Dane’s Donors honoree is 2026 Wisconsin Newspaper Hall of Fame inductee Carlton R. DeWitt of Glenwood City.

“To you and your entire staff I send a big thank you for all the work involved in inducting me into the Hall of Fame,” Carlton wrote in an April letter accompanying his donation. “Those two words do not seem like enough to express my heartfelt feelings for that honor.

“Even yesterday as I was walking in our downtown, two people stopped me and offered their congratulations,” Carlton wrote. “I am still riding on Cloud 9.

“I also appreciate my staff for their involvement in doing all the background work,” Carlton wrote. “Again, thanks!”
