Laura Alvarez has been named Multimedia Marketing Manager for Sentinel Publications.
Alvarez, who joined the Baldwin Bulletin staff as a Media Advisor in May 2021, has worked in both the Amery and Baldwin markets and assisted in Osceola and Burnett County.
A piece in the April 1, 2026 issue of The Osceola Sun announced the promotion. According to the story:
Alvarez is a Clear Lake High School graduate who has a degree in baking and pastry from Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts.
“Laura is uniquely gifted,” Publisher Tom Stangl said. “She came into her job at Baldwin during the pandemic and built relationships in the community that have helped the Bulletin become the paper it is today.”
The team of Alvarez, Designer Becki LaMar and Editor Jason Schulte have six awards in the past three years for projects entered in the Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s annual Better Newspaper Contest.
“We’re delighted to name Laura Alvarez as Multimedia Marketing Manager for Sentinel Publications,” said owner Carter Johnson. “She is highly focused on our customers and helping strengthen our local business community and industrial parks. It’s so fun to promote from within. Please help us cheer her on in this new position.”
Sentinel Publications includes the Amery Free Press, Baldwin Bulletin, Burnett County Sentinel, Country Messenger and Osceola Sun.
