Brandon Wegner has joined the Iron County Miner in Hurley as a contributor.

A story in the Feb. 27, 2026 issue of The Miner covered Wegner’s arrival. According to the story:
Wegner works as a tribal consultant helping tribal nations cut through federal red tape to secure funding for children’s programs and family services.
“Outside of work, I am in the woods or on the water whenever possible — camping, hiking, snowmobiling, and taking full advantage of the fact that the UP is essentially a playground,” Wegner wrote in the introductory story.
Wegner wrote that he is deeply involved in consciousness studies and indigenous wisdom traditions, including collaborative research with consciousness scholars. He also leads spiritual wellness groups in tribal communities, and maintains a herb and tincture apothecary.
“I could not be more thrilled to get involved in this community,” Wegner wrote, “and start telling your stories.”
